Rock and Metal Chibis: Zakk Wylde

Probably one of the best recognised guitarists of the metal scene, as well as the creator of one of my favourite rock/metal albums Pride & Glory. Since shortly starting work on the chibis, I knew I would want to focus on certain individual musicians as well but I would get round to it until much later. Once I felt I had a better sense on how I could draw the form of a character, even in chibi style, I felt I could then use my developed approach(es) compliment the fact there is only one character present.
Putting it one way, I feel that a drawing, like that of Arch Enemy, would appear even worse with the people as separate images because of how less refined my drawing was at that point compared to now.
Technically Zakk should probably have been uploaded before Alice Cooper and Dimmu Borgir (who are coming up next) since although I started on this drawing before the other two, they were finished before I got Zakk Wylde done. Originally, I admittedly drew him too plain: his clothes were very basic, with no outstanding details and his expression was seriously lacking in character. Eventually, I found a small photo of him in one of my issues of Metal Hammer and said to myself "Now that's how he should look!" and decided to give it another go. Hope this pleases you as much as it does me.
